2007 Alberta tourism awards finalists announced
The Alberta Government just released the 2007 Alberta tourism awards finalists, and Central Alberta attraction makes the list. The media release by Alberta.ca News says:
Edmonton… Excellence in Alberta’s tourism industry will be celebrated with the Alberta Tourism Awards, known as the “Altos”, at the 7th Annual Travel Alberta Industry Conference October 29 at The Fairmont Banff Springs. “The Alto finalists are a superb reflection of the excellence of Alberta’s tourism industry,” said Cindy Ady, Associate Minister of Tourism Promotion, who will present the Alto Awards. Doug McPhee, chair of the Alto Awards Committee and a member of the Strategic Tourism Marketing Council (STMC) added, “Like the theme of this year’s conference, Expand your Experience, these finalists can help everyone in our industry make improvements and try new ideas.”
Marketing Excellence (up to $25,000): Discovery Wildlife Park - “Take a Walk…on the Wild Side,” Innisfail.
