8 Costly Feng Shui Mistakes to Avoid in the Real Estate Process

Today, Feng Shui is a common practice when it comes to prepping a home for sale, as it is the practice of arranging objects within a home to achieve harmony with one’s environment. Here are eight costly Feng Shui mistakes made in the real estate transaction and ways to avoid them.

1. By far the biggest mistake is “not believing” that Feng Shui works in marketing and selling property, faster.

Keep in mind, it was “less than” 15 years ago that Realtors couldn?t comprehend a “computer” replacing an MLS book, let alone the Internet taking over the industry. As the adage goes: “Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.”

Inflexibility and/or “not” knowing the “basic” principles of Feng Shui can not only cost you a listing or sale, but eventually cost you your livelihood as well!

2. No specific target - Feng Shui works best when you focus on a specific goal or target area of a property that needs attention, and work it first.

Feng Shui “remedies” are more important than “enhancements” but both are critically important to a sale.

3. Believing that Feng Shui is about the occult, astrology and superstition and that it has nothing to do with real estate, is not only a mistake, but a myth too.

Feng Shui is the study of Quantum Physics - energy - how “energy flows” in, through and around land, homes, offices and listings. It has nothing to do with philosophy or religion.

Jump outside the box of the ‘mundane’ (bad news and press) and learn “proven” sales and marketing techniques that work in any market, economy or country - and start selling property in record time.

You are “only” limited by limited thinking.

4. Feng Shui is not difficult - it’s fun, fast and easy to learn. However, one of the biggest mistakes Realtors make is “over-doing” remedies and enhancements to property.

There are “only” three areas in a listing that should be “energized,” plus the bonus one. To do more areas than this can actually hurt the prospects of a sale, instead of help it.
