Gay St. Construction Photos & Neighborhood Update

During preparation for the upcoming Carlyle’s Watch Auction next Sunday (it’s going to be a circus!) I was spent about two hours taking photos of EVERY unit for my clients. I also paused a few times to take some photos of the Gay St. construction as they worked diligently throughout the beautiful Saturday afternoon. My good friends over at ColumbusING gave you the status update, and here you can see how it’s coming along for yourself:


Later in the week, I sat down with reps from the new Edwards Company development, known only by Neighborhood Launch. The southwestern anchor of the project rests at the corner of 4th & Gay, and is well underway. We went over the project overview, initial floor plans, and pricing. The very ambitious new neighborhood is slated to cover 9 city blocks, implement several new green spaces (all with varying water features), and mirror classic neighborhoods like Chicago’s Gold Coast with it’s signature tree-lined Gay St. southern boundary. Floor plans range from a 600 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bath ‘bridge’ loft, up to a four-story, 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath townhouse with 2 private outdoor spaces and private garage. Prices start as low as $149,900 and I really like the amount of varied floorplans and styles they’ve already offered in their initial structures.
